AgriChem has created and delivered
the
International Pesticide Application Database (I-PAD),
a one of its kind resource developed for USDA’s Foreign Agriculture
Service's Horticultural and Tropical Products Division. This database is
a guide for fruit and vegetable exporters related to maximum residue
limits (MRL’s) of pesticides on exportable crops (http://cipm.ncsu.edu/exportMRL).
I-PAD is a crop-specific database that cross references pesticides by
chemical name, method of application, rates and frequencies of
application, as well are pre- and post-harvest interval.
I-PAD is easy to
use, with intuitive selection criteria. Virtually every brand of
pesticide available for a crop is displayed with specific use
information.
The information in the I-PAD database assures, if the
preferred selections are chosen, producers that their agronomic
practices are in compliance with all U.S. state and federal regulations
and that the commodity will meet the maximum residue limit established
by the importing country.
I-PAD is updated
daily to assure growers, shippers, exporters and applicators of the most
current changes in regulations, both for the United States and the
intended country for the exported crop. |
